AMSS 2009 Public Scientific Day named “mathematics and system Control make greater contributions to the development of society” was held successfully on May, 16, 2009. About 600 students from universities, high schools, as well as researchers visited AMSS.
AMSS State Key lab and CAS Key labs and research centers made careful preparations for this event. Visitors attached themselves into the charms of mathematics and system science through the PPT demonstration, exhibitions, science popularization lectures and other activities. Especially, “Talk about Goldbach Conjecture” and “Mathematics Application on Internet Information Retrieval” lectures given by CAS academicians Prof. Wang Yuan and Ma Zhiming raised visitors’ great interests in mathematics and its applications of extraordinary depth and influence .Visitors were also highly impressed by the tera cluster system and Hua Lookeng exhibition room.
