Prof. Lennart Ljung was awarded honorary professorship of AMSS

On July 28, AMSS held a ceremony awarding honorary Professorship to Professor Lennart Ljung from Linköping University, Sweden.

As a leading scientist in the field of system identification, Prof. Ljung’s contributions have had lasting impact over the past several decades. He has received numerous awards and honors from various institutions around the world, including the Quazza Medal awarded by IFAC and the Control Systems Award conferred by IEEE. He is a Member of both the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, and the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, a Foreign Associate of the US National Academy of Sciences, and a Fellow of IFAC and IEEE, among others.

After the ceremony, Prof. Ljung delivered a lecture entitled “Sum-of-norm regularization in estimation problems”.
