A paper titled “Max-Min Fairness Linear Transceiver Design for a Multi-User MIMO Interference Channel” authored by PhD. Liu Yafeng, Prof. Dai Yuhong from AMSS and Prof. Luo Zhiquan from University of Minnesota has won IEEE ICC 2011 (International Conference on Communications ) Best Paper Award.
The paper provides a basic complexity result for the max-min fairness linear transceiver design problem for a multi-user MIMO interference channel and designs an effective numerical algorithm. This is the only paper awarded by mainland experts on ICC2011 and also the only one on signal processing for communications.
IEEE ICC, directly sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society, brings together the world's leading researchers from academia and industry working in all areas of telecommunications and networking. Since 1965, IEEE ICC has been one of the flagship conferences of the IEEE Communications Society.
