Prof. LIU Yuanzhang Honored with 2011 Ishikawa-Kano Award

Prof.LIU Yuanzhang, Member of the China Academy of Engineering was honored with 2011 Ishikawa-Kano Award for his outstanding contributions to the advancement of the theory and practice of quality management in Asian countries. The award was released by Asian Network for Quality(ANQ) Congress held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on Sept.28, 2011. Prof. LIU Yuanzhang is the first Chinese expert to won this award.

Prof.LIU Yuanzhang, Member of the International Academy for Quality, is one of the pioneers in Chinese total quality management and is known as the father of Chinese quality management. He has made great contributions to the development of Chinese modern management science and quality management science. Total quality management theories and methods raised by Prof. LIU have been widely used in a batch of academic fields and industry areas in China. 

Ishikawa-Kano Award, set by ANQ Congress, is to be awarded to individuals whose outstanding achievements in advancing the theory and practice of quality management in Asia. ANQ was established in 2002 aiming at promoting the rapid evolution of Asia’s quality management. ANQ has memberships from 16 countries including Japan, China ,Korea and so on.
