Professor ZHAN Wenlong , the Vice- President of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), paid a visit to Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science (AMSS) on November 17th, 2011.

Vice President of AMSS, CAS,Professor WANG Yuefei , expressed great welcome and gave brief introduction of AMSS and Professor GAO Xiaoshan gave an introduction of National Center for Mathematics and Inter-disciplinary Sciences (NCMIS), CAS. Professor Wang pointed out that High-level research platform has been established for collaboration between Mathematics and other disciplinaries since the NCMIS was founded. AMSS has deepened the cooperation with other disciplinaries and has achieved some progress and will make much more great contributions to reform of scientific and technological system of China.

Vice-president ZHAN was satisfied with the progress of NCMIS and suggested that AMSS would comprehensively think about the further steps for talents inviting and cultivating. Finally, ZhAN hopes that AMSS should not only make new scientific research achievements and attract much more talents, but also make out new thoughts in the future.
