Press Conference on the release of the report container throughput forecast and rank of global top 20 ports in 2013 was held by Center for Forecasting Science (CEFS), Chinese Academy of Sciences on Tuesday, 18th June 2013. The report focused on predictions and analysis of container throughput and rank of global top 20 ports. Several famous experts and scholarswill attended this conference and shared their own viewpoints.

CEFS is one of the most authoritative organizations in the field of economic analysis and forecast. When the global financial crisis broke out in 2008, most professional experts seriously downgraded their expected growth rate of China’s GDP in 2009. However, CEFS precisely predicted that China’s GDP would increase by 8.5% in 2009, only with the error rate of 0.2% as measured against the actual GDP figure released by National Bureau of Statistics of China in 2010.
