Abstract:
We present a mixed finite element method for the quad-curl problem which arises in the study of inverse problems and magnetohydrodynamics (MHD). Edge elements are employed to discretize the mixed formulation. Under suitable assumption of the domain and mesh, we prove optimal convergence of the finite element method.
