Abstract:
The spectral analysis of periodic operators is a classical subject. Many deep results are known, both in direct and in inverse spectral theory. Recently there has been progress in the spectral analysis of limit-periodic operators, whose coefficients are uniform limits of periodic functions. We will give a lecture surveying these recent results.
