Abstract:
The subject of p-adic cohomologies is over fifty years old. Crystalline cohomology plays a central role in p-adic Hodge theory, in which important new developments have recently occurred. After recalling the historical background and some basic results, I will give an overview of the new approach of Bhatt, Lurie and Mathew to the theory of the de Rham-Witt complex.
