Abstract:	Lyapounov exponents (LE) for Schr\"odinger operators with ergodic potentials or Jacobi matrices with ergodic coefficients are known to characterize the absolutely continuous spectrum. In this talk the speaker will focus on two topics of LE. One is a relationship between LE and equilibrium measures. Another one is a problem aroused in a study of the KdV equation, which is related with some asymptotic behavior of Titchmarsh-Weyl functions .
