AMSS Hosted the 13th International Conference on Differential Algebra and Related Topics

From May 26th to 30th, the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science (AMSS) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences hosted the 13th International Workshop on "Differential Algebra and Related Topics" (DART XIII).

The conference featured 22 invited talks by experts in differential algebra and related fields from both China and abroad. Over 70 participants from countries including China, the United States, France, Germany, India, and Denmark attended the conference. Distinguished scholars such as Prof. Joris van der Hoeven (ICM 45-minute invited speaker), Prof. Li Guo from Rutgers University, and Dr. Frédéric Chyzak (Director of the MATHEXP research group at INRIA, France) were among the attendees. The conference also brought together researchers and graduate students from institutions such as AMSS, École Polytechnique, Université de Lyon, Université Paris Diderot, Rutgers University, Dartmouth College, Universität Kassel, RWTH Aachen University, the University of Vienna, Nankai University, Sichuan University, Lanzhou University, and Fudan University.

The conference opening ceremony was chaired by Dr. Wei Li, Chair of the Organizing Committee. Prof. Xiao-Shan Gao and Prof. Hongbo Li, representing the Key Laboratory of Mathematics Mechanization and the Institute of Systems Science, respectively, extended a warm welcome to the participants. Prof. Gao introduced recent research achievements by the AMSS differential algebra team and the history of the DART conference series. Prof. Li highlighted the main research areas of the Institute of Systems Science and its representative results in differential algebra and symbolic computation.

Besides, 22 leading experts delivered presentations on significant advances in differential algebra, symbolic computation, automatic sequences, combinatorics, and the identification of differential systems, among other related topics. Prof. Joris van der Hoeven discussed symbolic computation for power series satisfying algebraic differential equations, Prof. Li Guo presented progress in Rota-Baxter algebras, and Dr. Ziming Li introduced reduction theories and algorithms in symbolic integration.

This conference not only provided a platform for academic exchange and collaboration among researchers and graduate students in related fields but also further enhanced AMSS academic influence in differential algebra, symbolic computation, combinatorics, and other areas. Additionally, it played a positive role in attracting young talents to study and engage in research collaborations at AMSS.
